Philadelphia Eagles: Week 5 injury update.

The Philadelphia Eagles will be traveling down south to face the Carolina Panthers. This is a pretty important game for the Eagles to win. As far as winning the division or playoffs, not so much, but show this fan base they still have a pulse. This game is a winnable one for the Birds, but it is up to head coach Nick Sirianni and defensive coordinator Jonathan Gannon to have this team ready.

Carolina has been a bit overhyped so far this season, especially considering the teams they have beat have a total of 4 wins. It would be safe to say that they came back down to earth a bit after losing to the Dallas Cowboys in Week 4. With that being said, let's get into the latest injury list, starting with Philly.

The Eagles released their latest injury report ahead of this weekend's matchup, which can also be found on their Twitter page.

The good news is that Darius Slay, Jordan Mailata, Jason Kelce, Avonte Maddox, and Quez Watkins are all good to go for Sunday. The bad news is the correct tackle Lane Johnson, will not be playing against Carolina. The offensive line will more than likely look like this -

-LT Andre Dillard

-LG Landon Dickerson

-C Jason Kelce

-RG Jack Driscoll

-RT Jordan Mailata.

This will make the third different offensive line in five games, following an ugly trend of last season. However, out of any team to deal with these issues, the Birds are the most prepared to handle this situation. Okay, now let's check on the Carolina Panthers' injury list that can be found on their Twitter page.

Here is the Panthers Injury list-

RB-Christian McCaffrey - Doubtful

LB-Shaq Thompson - Out

T- Cameron Erving - Out.

Erving and Thompson being out are significant losses on both sides of the ball for Carolina. The Panthers' offensive line has already suffered injuries (like the Eagles) and has not held up well for quarterback Sam Darnold. From everything that we have seen, it looks like McCaffrey will not be suiting up for this game, which would be wise on the Panthers' part and lucky for the Eagles.

As stated earlier, this is a winnable game for the Eagles. Carolina will be a good measure of what this team is precisely made of, and after losing three straight games, they are overdue for a victory.
