This Eagles team gets some much-needed good news.

Philly fans, as our beloved Philadelphia Eagles are moving on and preparing for their Week 18 divisional matchup, this team and fanbase got some much-needed good news. As their season finale stage has been set for 3:45 PM EST, on Monday, January 2nd, it was reported by NFL insider Ian Rapoport that all signs point to Jalen Hurts being active for this team's matchup against the New York Giants.

This is massive news for this Eagles' team, as their last few matchups with Gardner Minshew at the helm have ended in losses. It is safe to say that this offense loses a massive ability to be dynamic without Hurts running it. As evident by the game against the New Orleans Saints, this offense was extremely predictable. The threat of having a quarterback like Jalen allowed the Saints' defense to clamp down against Philadelphia's offense.

As stated in a previous story, Hurts being active and ready to play is no shock, for he knows what is now at stake for this team. However, that is not the only piece of good news that this city received. The other great news? Josh Sweat was released from the Hospital and has been declared "day by day" by coach Nick Sirianni.

For those who did not see it, Sweat suffered a scary injury early in their Week 17 matchup, resulting in him being carted off the field. The now fifth-year veteran is having a career year, totaling 48 tackles, 23 qb hits, 15 tackles for a loss, 11 sacks, and one interception.

I would doubt Philly fans will see him in Week 18, but all signs point to him also being available for the postseason.
