Eagles dodge a bullet in receiving good injury news.

Alrighty Philly fans, as most know this Philadelphia Eagles team had some key players go down during their Week 13 game against the New York Jets. After so many injuries last season, even with some key players gone for the year, the injury bug has not been anywhere near as bad as it has been in recent seasons.

With such a late bye week this year, a major concern amongst the fanbase is simply can this team make it to that Week 14 bye healthy? Well, not totally, but there is encouraging news that came out of Head Coach Nick Sirianni's press conference on Monday.

Before we get to that, let's take a look at who this team currently has on IR in 2021.

Jack Driscoll - OT

Brandon Brooks - G

Davion Taylor - LB

Isaac Seumalo - G

Brandon Graham- DE

Here is who was on IR last year for the 2020 season.

Genard Avery- LB

Brandon Brooks- G

Jatavis Brown - LB

Vinny Curry - DE

Andre Dillard - OT

T.J Edwards - LB

Zach Ertz - TE

Dallas Goedert- TE

Marquise Goodwin - WR

DeSean Jackson - WR

Nathan Gerry- LB

Cre'von LeBlanc - CB

Avonte Maddox - CB

Will Parks- S

Jalen Reagor - WR

Jason Peters- OT

Isaac Seumalo - G

So obviously you can see that this season has been much better as far as injuries go. Out of all of the players on the IR list now, Brooks and Taylor would be the only ones eligible to come back. So now onto the good news!

After a fear with Jason Kelce and his knee, it was reported that he did not sustain any major injuries and he should be cleared to play in Week 15. Steve Nelson, Jordan Howard, Miles Sanders, and Jalen Hurts should also all be set to go for Week 15 as well.

That is extremely good news considering the worst was feared, especially with Kelce. Philly is going to have to take this time to get healthy and get rested because this season is not over yet.
