Alright Philly fans, the hard fought victory over the New Orleans Saints did not come without a price unfortunately. The Philadelphia Eagles' head coach, Nick Sirianni, reported some injury updates for this team ahead of their Week 11 matchup against the New York Giants.
It was almost going to good, but unfortunately the injury bug struck again in Week 11. Sirianni reported that is likely linebacker Davion Taylor will be headed to IR with a knee sprain. This is not the biggest loss of this article (spoiler), but losing Taylor who had just started not only getting a significant snap increase, but was starting to make big plays on the field is a stinker.
Taylor, who dealt with injuries earlier on the year, is just not having a good season health wise. Hopefully he can be back within a few weeks and ready to roll again. Now, onto the not so fun injury news.
RB Jordan Howard will likely (he is going to) miss the Week 12 matchup against the Giants and possibly against the Jets the following week. Howard took a pretty big shot to his knee during this past Sunday's game, so for now the injury is claimed as a knee sprain. So, of course to most Eagles fans this is extremely concerning. Most fans can remember in 2019 when this team had a similar attack going on, Howard was sidelined after getting a "stinger".
Howard missed almost the remainder of the regular season due to the injury. So if that is your concern, hopefully it is just for the next few weeks until this team can make it to the bye-week. On a lighter note, Darius Slay (concussion) and Shaun Bradley (shoulder) should both be good to come this weekend's divisional matchup.
Even though they will be without Howard, this team still has Miles Sanders, Kenny Gainwell, and let's not forget about the Giant defeater himself, Boston Scott. Let's hope that this team can make it to the bye week with out any other major loss.
