CB Avonte Maddox appears on the Eagles' injury report.
Updated: Nov 13, 2022

Philly Fans, as we all get ready for another weekend of football, the Philadelphia Eagles released their Week 10 injury report ahead of their Monday night game against the Washington Commanders. On Thursday, November 10th, the Eagles posted their injury report that included players such as Lane Johnson, Jason Kelce, AJ Brown, and Darius Slay as limited participants.
However, all of the names are veterans on this team, and their injury designation is, as you might have guessed, rest. Out of all of those names, three of them had an injury designation, one of them being a key starter. The three were CB Josh Jobe (hamstring), CB Josiah Scott (ankle), and CB Avonte Maddox, who is also dealing with a hamstring injury.
Maddox not practicing is a shock and a concern. Avonte has been dealing with some injuries and has missed some time in 2022, but the other concern is a few names that would fill in for him are also on the injury report. The star slot corner started the season strong but is now ranked 27th overall in coverage by pff.com.
Now, with the Eagles playing on Monday and not Sunday, there is still time for Maddox to be good to go and to me, it is a possibility the team is just being careful. However, it would be a concern if he is not good to go. Washington, though they are not a great team, has weapons on offense, and the lack of a star slot corner could be an area in which they target.
More to news to come.
