That's right Philly fans, after a few weeks of questions and concerns over the Philadelphia Eagles' right tackle, Lane Johnson, the Pro-Bowler finally broke the silence on Twitter this morning. Johnson, who has missed the last three games for the Eagles, spoke out on why he had been absent over the course of the past few weeks.
Here is why Johnson had to say:
This is not the first time that fans have learned about Johnson's struggle with depression and anxiety. During the Eagles 'All or Nothing' series on Amazon, fans learned that both Johnson and guard Brandon Brooks have been dealing with these issues for sometime now.
Unfortunately these types of issues effect even the strongest of characters, Lane being no exception. In my opinion I think the Eagles did a solid job not playing into the media and respecting his privacy during this time. Understandably, fans want answers, but sometimes we can wait.
Johnson will be once again back with the Eagles and should be good to good for their Week 7 matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders. This is going to be major help in stabilizing the offensive line that has had their fair of struggles over the past few weeks.
