Alright Philly fans, as the Philadelphia Eagles are getting ready for their Sunday matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 9, the team made a few roster moves. Some of them are not that shocking, but one of the moves is something some Philly fans have been waiting for.
The Eagles elevated both running back Jordan Howard and wide receiver John Hightower. Howard should be no shock to fans and realistically if he performs the way that he did against the Lions, this team needs to find a roster spot for him to have him permanently on this team.
Hightower's elevation is a result of JJAW being inactive and possibly has to do with Jalen Reagor nursing an injured ankle. This would be a good time for Hightower to start gaining ground lost from last season. He is a fast receiver, but struggled to fight through contact and had trouble holding onto the ball. An early word from camp is that the receiver also had some maturity issues, so hopefully another year under his belt has helped him grow up a bit.
The last roster move that the Birds made ahead of this Week 9 home game is activating tight end Tyree Jackson. The quarterback turned tight end was an underlying story of training camp and pre-season. Jackson has all the intangibles to be an extremely special player and has already shown some ability to do so. After a bring bad injury caused him to be sidelined for the first few weeks of the season.
This is shaping to be an interesting matchup.
